Proverbs 25:19

Luke 16: 10 -12
• We should protect ourselves from unfaithful men/women.
• We should make sure that we are not one of them.
• Sometimes we will try to building something around someone who is unfaithful.
• Unfaithful men/women make excuses.
• When we are unfaithful, God can’t use us like he desires.
• Being faithful is showing up on time or ahead of time.

Proverbs 20:6
• Some men/women can talk and give a good resume, but what we need is results.

2 Timothy 2:1-2
• You cannot count on the unfaithfulness.

1 Corinthian 4:2
• Being faithful demands a level of sacrifice.
• Our first faithfulness and commitment must be to God. Second our spouse. Third our children. Fourth to our Church. Fifth to our job.
• All of the aforementioned demand faithfulness and sacrifice.
• We cannot demand something of someone else if we are not modeling it ourselves.
• When we are living like we are suppose to live, we inspire dreams.
• The biggest motivator for men/women is desire.
• Your faithfulness will always be challenged.
• Faithfulness is an attribute of God.
• Unfaithfulness is an attribute of Satan.
• Being unfaithful destroys relationships.
• We must talk to our G12 men/women about being faithful.
• Every one of us has to demonstrate that someone can trust us.

1 Corinthian 1:9
• God is faithful, reliable, trust worthy, ever true to his promises or his word.
• God can be depended upon. By him we have partnership and relationship.

Matthew 26:8
8But when his disciples saw it, they had indignation, saying, To what purpose is this waste?
• Sacrifice is different than reasonable service.
• God is prompting us to do something that is over and above what we would normally do.
• Most Christians will not even do reasonable service, for example, witnessing, tithing, etc.
• When you commit to becoming a successful G12 leader, it is a sacrifice. You open your home, call and visit.
• God is calling us to sacrifice.
• Sacrifice is always linked to a great reward.
• God is not going to bless you the way He wants to when you are just operating at a mediocre level.
• We must never cry about sacrificing.
• The disciples had indignation because they were unwilling to sacrifice on the level that the woman with the alabaster box demonstrated.
• You can be around spiritual people that have never made a sacrifice.

Luke 21:1-4
1And he looked up, and saw the rich men casting their gifts into the treasury. 2And he saw also a certain poor widow casting in thither two mites. 3And he said, Of a truth I say unto you, that this poor widow hath cast in more than they all: 4For all these have of their abundance cast in unto the offerings of God: but she of her penury hath cast in all the living that she had.
• Sacrifice is a big word for big people.
• People that do not want to sacrifice will talk against you sacrificing.
• Our blessings come from us stretching ourselves.
• A rubber band will not reach its potential until it is stretched.
• When we have an opportunity to give our finances, time or talent, we should not be complacent.
• Sacrifice never goes unrewarded.
• If we want big things to happen, we need to do something big.

Acts 4:34-35
34Neither was there any among them that lacked: for as many as were possessors of lands or houses sold them, and brought the prices of the things that were sold, 35And laid them down at the apostles' feet: and distribution was made unto every man according as he had need.
• The people made sacrifice. Sacrifice is not the norm, it is the unusual.
• We need to ask God to call us to sacrifice.
• The devil hates sacrifice.
• When God asks us to do something, He is preparing to bless us.

READING from “Successful Leadership through the Government of 12”
By Cesar Castellanos

• Fruitfulness will not be realized without our taking ownership.
• Along with work, there is also a need for us to sacrifice.
• Lots of work takes place before the harvest comes in.

Exodus 36:5
• So many things are going wrong in the world today, how much time do you think we have?
• Jesus commanded us to witness, make disciples, and build his Church. How many of us are doing God’s work?
• Every one of us can bring someone new to Church each Sunday.

1 Kings 17:13
• God was demanding sacrifice. You cannot make sacrifice without God blessing you.
• God honors our sacrifice. For example, when we go out witnessing.

Matt 26:39
• Even Jesus had to sacrifice. He had to get pass his will. The will does not want us to do a lot of things.
• “The blessings don’t come to he that sitteth, but he that gets off the couch”
- Pastor Phillip Goudeaux
• The road paved with gold is paved with sacrifice.
• God never asks us to sacrifice without a great blessing.
• Sacrifice is a principle. When you work a principle, the principle will work for you.
• People want things without sacrifice.
• When you make sacrifice and are around others who don’t or are unwilling, they will attempt to criticize and put you down.
• God wants you to work hard for his Kingdom and he will work hard for you.

Matt 26 6-10
• The alabaster box was very valuable and was used for burial.
• The woman loved and appreciated Jesus because he had saved her.
• The disciples had indignation because they were not prepared to make the kind of sacrifice that she made.
• Jesus let the disciples know that sacrifice was a good work.
• Love, appreciation, and thankfulness should drive you to sacrifice, not what you expect to get.
• We must be willing to make sacrifices for the Kingdom.
• The people of God must be willing to change.

READING from Successful Leadership through the Government of 12 by Cesar Castellanos

Exodus 18:20
20And thou shalt teach them ordinances and laws, and shalt shew them the way wherein they must walk, and the work that they must do.
• We must examine ourselves and make sure we are always doing the things that God has commanded us to do.
• We must be on guard and not allow ourselves to be drained, depleted, and destroyed.

 Read John 17 every day for one week.

Reading from Chapter 8, “You are the Leader” - Attributes that Distinguish a Leader of Twelve

He is recognized by His Team as a Person of Faith
• His or her group is doing something. Faith is always moving.
• Faith is trusting leadership.

He is Faithful to the Message he Communicates
• As leaders, we must first be partakers. You cannot expect someone to do something if you are not doing it.
• We must be faithful to the message we are communicating.

“I cannot over emphasize the importance of prayer.” Pastor Phillip Goudeaux
• The more time we spend with the Lord, the greater leader we will be.
• We need to spend time worshipping. There should not be a day that goes by that we don’t pray for our twelve.
• We should pray for the peace of God, health, divine protection, and that God will use us to be a bold and powerful witness.
• We need to make a difference in our homes, jobs, and community.

Ezekiel 22:30
30And I sought for a man among them, that should make up the hedge, and stand in the gap before me for the land, that I should not destroy it: but I found none.
• We should pray for and honor leaders that are promoting the Kingdom of God.

G12 Life Group Notes– June 13, 2010–6:30 a.m. Pastor Goudeaux (Pg 2 of 2)

Jeremiah 51:20
20Thou art my battle axe and weapons of war: for with thee will I break in pieces the nations, and with thee will I destroy kingdoms;
• We must spend time praying with our disciples.
• “With thee” means we are workers together with God.

Jeremiah 1:10
10See, I have this day set thee over the nations and over the kingdoms, to root out, and to pull down, and to destroy, and to throw down, to build, and to plant.
• This scripture tells us how God has set us over Life Groups, etc.

Jeremiah 1:19
19And they shall fight against thee; but they shall not prevail against thee; for I am with thee, saith the LORD, to deliver thee.
• We will not be without challenges.
• Memorize this scripture.

READING from Successful Leadership through the Government of 12 by Cesar Castellanos

Exodus 18:20
20And thou shalt teach them ordinances and laws, and shalt shew them the way wherein they must walk, and the work that they must do.
• All of us are leaders and this scripture is our commandment.
• The four key elements are: 1following God’s ordinances, 2laws, 3the way we must walk, 4and the work we must do.
• Our G12 meetings should reflect these principles.

Deuteronomy 5:33
33Ye shall walk in all the ways which the LORD your God hath commanded you, that ye may live, and that it may be well with you, and that ye may prolong your days in the land which ye shall possess.
• Everything God has commanded us to do we should be working on.
• You are either moving forward or sliding backwards.
• Live long and prosper can be shown in your home, on your job, etc.

Successful Leadership through the Government of 12
Reading from Chapter 8, “You Are the Leader”

• Our first job is to help our disciples to develop a relationship with the Holy Spirit.
• There are qualifications we should have as leaders.
• We want to do what Jesus did, and that is to magnify God.

QUALITIES OF A LEADER
1. He or she is recognized as a person of faith.
2. He or she is faithful to the message he or she communicates.
3. He or she is honored by the fruit of his or her twelve.

• “You cannot operate in the supernatural and exercise authority and dominion if you are natural.” Pastor Goudeaux
• No matter what group you have you will always have some differences. There are spirits that will try to keep them from being faithful and get them into sin.
• The leaders must operate in the supernatural and deal with the spirits that are attacking his or her twelve.
• It takes a supernatural leader to deal with supernatural things.

G12 Life Group Notes– June 6, 2010–6:30 a.m. Pastor Goudeaux (Pg 2 of 2)

I Corinthians 12:8-9
8For to one is given by the Spirit the word of wisdom; to another the word of knowledge by the same Spirit; 9To another faith by the same Spirit; to another the gifts of healing by the same Spirit;

• The Holy Spirit gives supernatural gifts.
• The faith the scripture talks about is not faith by hearing, but “special faith.”
• We need to ask God to give us a discerning spirit regarding people so we can know what issues our disciples are dealing with. We can then help them to stay on track.
• There are spirits that try to keep us from being productive that we must come against.
• Our G12 groups should be a brotherhood or sisterhood. We should be pushing and encouraging one another.

• We must be honest with ourselves.
• In order to move to the next level, we must not allow pride to prevent us from following the lead of a mentor or role model.
• In order to encourage people to come to church, there is an excellent book entitled, “The Bible in Light of Our Redemption” by E.W. Kenyon. We can start a bible study (15 or 20 minutes) using this book.

The Disciples Walk
Colossians 2: 6,7,10
6As ye have therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk ye in him: 7Rooted and built up in him, and stablished in the faith, as ye have been taught, abounding therein with thanksgiving. 10And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power:
• Walk, regulate your life.
• Thanksgiving is the act of faith in God demonstrated.
• 4 key areas we must regulate our life includes: being rooted, built up, established in faith, and abounding in thanksgiving.
• Our lower nature must not be stronger than our higher nature.
• Verse 10 means we should walk worthy, unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every
good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God.

II Thessalonians 2:17
17Comfort your hearts, and stablish you in every good word and work.
• Comfort and encourage your heart - that heart is your soul.
• We have to remind our head about our heart.
• We must comfort our heart with the Word.
• We must keep ourselves busy when we are going through something.
• We must learn to establish and comfort ourselves in the Word.
• We must be about building the Kingdom.

Psalms 84:11
11For the LORD God is a sun and shield: the LORD will give grace and glory: no good thing will he withhold from them that walk uprightly.
• God is going to shine on us with grace and favor.
• We must keep our walk consistent.
• Walking means walking after Him circumspectly (watchful and discreet, cautious, prudent).
• All men/women deal with temptation.

Psalms 85: 12, 13
12Yea, the LORD shall give that which is good; and our land shall yield her increase. 13Righteousness shall go before him; and shall set us in the way of his steps.

G12 Life Group Notes– May 30, 2010–6:30 a.m. Pastor Goudeaux (Pg 2 of 2)

II Corinthians 5:7
7(For we walk by faith, not by sight:)
• There is a habit that is formed. We walk and conduct ourselves by faith.
• Our circumstance does not regulate us.
• We must walk by faith, not appearance.
• We must remove our pride.
• There will be people in our lives that will provoke us to grow in the things of God and take us to the next level.
• We need to be around people that can help us to operate at a higher level.
• If we are around people with wisdom, we increase in wisdom.
• Some people provoke joy in us and we like being around them.
• We must live by believing, not by seeing.

Roman 1:17
17For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith.
• We must walk our faith walk all the way to the end.
• We must walk out our adversities in life by faith.
• God cannot reveal Himself unless we walk by faith.
• We must continuously pray and speak the Word.

THE DISCIPLES WALK

• We must give our whole heart.
Colossians 2:6-7
6As ye have therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk ye in him: 7Rooted and built up in him, and stablished in the faith, as ye have been taught, abounding therein with thanksgiving.
• Walk in Him means we need to learn everything about Him.
• If we were actors we would learn everything about the person we wanted to portray.
• Walk is a command, an action word.
• “The wind of adversity in your life will determine the depth of your roots.” Phillip Goudeaux
• We all get attacked. If you are a believer, you are either going through or coming out of an attack.
• When we come out of an attack our roots should be stronger.
• If our roots are exposed when we are going through something, it shows a lack of depth.
• We should not allow discouragement, disappointment, temptations, tests, or trails to weaken our faith.
• A believer’s root should be growing each day.
• A tree that only gets surface water will not have strong roots.
• Reading the Bible and studying out words strengthens our roots.
• Abound with thanksgiving means not complaining. Talking about your situation will not cause you to abound. Don’t give glory to negative things in your life.
Colossians 1:9-10
9For this cause we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, and to desire that ye might be filled with the knowledge of his will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding; 10That ye might walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God;
• Walk, live, and conduct yourself in a manner worthy of the Lord.
• Our job is to work on ourselves. When we are working on ourselves, we are more forgiving of others because we understand the challenges we all face.
• We need to focus on ourselves. When we focus on ourselves, we get benefits.
• Bearing fruit means we are steadily growing and developing fuller and deeper insight.
• You cannot walk worthy without the Holy Spirit.
• Men/women have issues. We have to have the power of God in order to overcome insecurities, etc.
• The Holy Spirit is the empowering agent to aid and assist us.
Successful Leadership through the Government of 12 – Cesar Castellanos
Part II, Chapter 7, Page 161
• Men/women need to know how to raise standards.
• We are leaders. Our disciples must see our standard and should be able to draw something from our lives.
