Calvary Christian Center G-12 Administration – Life Notes Pastor Phillip G. Goudeaux Jr. 08/26/2012 “Living in God’s Order and Increasing in His Favor” “What’s Hindering Your Witness?” “Let Your Light Shine” II Timothy 3:16, 17 Acts 26: 6 Romans 5:8 Matthews 28:19-20 Matthews 5:14-16 • Thank God that He does not look at you the same way that mankind does • God does not look at us with the judgment that some Christians look at people • He paid the “price” while you were yet in sin • You need to look at people through the eyes of Love and God rather than through the eyes of Judgment and Criticism • People who believe that they are helpless do not need to be judged when they come to the light • The enemy wants you to believe that it takes a certain personality to be a witness for Christ • Jesus did not specify any type of individual to “go” – He just said to “go” • The commandment is for everyone • You don’t get to make the judgment call on who is eligible for the salvation plan • You are just responsible for arranging the meeting to tell others about Jesus • Just “go” and make disciples - God wants the lost more than they could ever know • God will set you up to meet people who need what you have • Be a witness to the things that you have seen • The anointing is the thing that destroys the yoke and removes the burdens • God just wants you to rise and stand on your feet - He will make you a Minister • God saved you to minister to the you in somebody else - All you need to do is testify • There is power that will show up because of your obedience • God created you to be you • If you have a light – Then let it shine • The light makes a difference • You may not know how to make a move – But you can shine • There are no light breaks – So don’t hid your light • What you have to say will change some lives • “Go” snatch the lost out of darkness

Ephesians 4:13,16-key scripture. Til we should all attain the unity of the faith and knowledge of God’s son, reaching maturity, reaching the full measure of development which belong to the fullness of Christ 14. Instead of remaining immature, blown from off course, and swayed by every passing wind of doctrine (drifters). By the adrointness of men who are dexterous and devising error. Who are to hold by the truth and by our love to grow up (Hebrews 6:1-3 message))wholly into Him. For He Christ is the head and under Him as the entire body is well together and compacted by every joint which with it is supplied the do activity of each part enables the body to grow and build itself up in love. Moffatt translation ASSIMILATION DEFINED: Church Assimilation is the task of moving people from an awareness of the church to attendance at church to active membership in the church Assimilation=to take in and incorporate as ones own; to absorb, to bring in Assimilation = Incorporation, bonding, joining, and assimilating Physiology definition: to convert ( food) to substances suitable for incorporation into body and it's tissues. Transform-to change in form, appearance, or structure, to convert Both concepts body and building occurring together emphasize the key idea of growth. Ephesians 2-19-22 Goal of assimilation is to evangelize and disciple the lost until we all come into the unity of Christ. • Ephesians 4:13,16 • Romans 12:2 • 1Corinthians 12:12-18 clear word • Matthew 9:35-37(message) sheep having no shepherd-drifters( aimlessly wandering, helpless and misled • Matthew 5:3 -assimilation produces results -imitation doesn't produce results A churches assimilation process is taking peole throough the vrious levels of commitment to a church by the 5-C’s: 1. Community(unchurched) 2. Crowd ( regular attendance) 3. Congregation(members) 4. Committed(maturing/involved members) 5. Core (lay leaders) Acts 2:41-12 Acts 6:1-6, Acts 15:28-29 • Assimilation is as old as the church • There were difficulties associated with assimilation since the beginning of the church • We assimilate people when we help them to acquire similar knowledge, similar attitudes, towards Christ and His church, similar feelings of belonging, and similar patterns of behavior. • Churches have not been diligent in their efforts to incorporate new people. • Future congregations need strong entry processes. • Very little knowledge of religion or Christianity is necessary. • Must set aside time and energy for first class attention. THE ASSIMILATION PRODUCES RESULTS: • Identifies with the goals of the church. • Attends worship services regularly. • Experiences spiritual growth and progress. • Becomes a member of the Body. • Have 5‐10 new friends in the church. • Has an appropriate task or role that matches spiritual giftedness. • Is involved in meaningful fellowship in a small group. • Regularly tithes to the church. • Participates by spreading the Good News to Friends and relatives(Matthew 28:18‐20; • Identifies with the goals of the church. • Is regular in worship attendance and at special services (Hebrews 10:25). • Attends Communion/Sunday school regularly and has Bible reading • And family devotions in the home (Acts 2:42). • Is growing spiritually (2 Peter 3:18). • Has affiliated with the congregation. • Have six or more friends in the church. • Has a task or role that is appropriate for his or her spiritual gift(s) • (Romans 12; 1 Corinthians 12; Ephesians 4; 1 Peter 4:10‐11). • Is involved in a fellowship group (Acts 2:42). • Gives regularly and generously (1 Corinthians 16:2).

This is the commandment, That, as ye have heard from the beginning, ye should walk in it. • Love in the truth and those that have known the truth • For truth’s sake • In truth and love • Verse four states “they were walking in the truth” – But its true now (2012) • The commandment was heard from the beginning Ask for Prayer Requests Close in Prayer

“Sanctification”

“The level you trust/have faith in God is the level God will promote you” Dr. Goudeaux

I Thessalonians 5:21-23
21Prove all things; hold fast that which is good. 22Abstain from all appearance of evil. 23And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.

• Sanctify you wholly
• You must work on keeping your spirit (interchangeable with your heart) under control
• This is the renewing of the mind (strongholds, wrong thoughts…)

Proverbs 25:28
28He that hath no rule over his own spirit is like a city that is broken down, and without walls.

• Having no rule over your own spirit (mind)
• That’s what is trying to put restrictions on you
• People are where they are because of their ignorance and lack of control
• Anyone can act like a “donkey”, but how many people can control them self?
• Without control, there is no defense against any enemy
• Control is discipline (which is applying what you have learned)
• Commit to the right thing as you hear it
• “A city without walls” equals “lack of self-control” Dr. Goudeaux

I Corinthians 9:25-27
25And every man that striveth for the mastery is temperate in all things. Now they do it to obtain a corruptible crown; but we an incorruptible. 26I therefore so run, not as uncertainly; so fight I, not as one that beateth the air: 27But I keep under my body, and bring it into subjection: lest that by any means, when I have preached to others, I myself should be a castaway.

• Your Christian walk is a continuous fight
• If you don’t fight, the walls will be broken down
• You can be of honor or dishonor
• The only way the enemy can get to you is when you do not obey God

“Don’t complain about the mosquitoes when you have the windows down!” Dr. Goudeaux

Proverbs 16:32
32He that is slow to anger is better than the mighty; and he that ruleth his spirit than he that taketh a city..

• Ruleth his spirit (control your life)

G12 Life Group Notes– April 01,2012– 6:30 a.m. Pastor Goudeaux (Cont’)__

Proverbs 14:29
29He that is slow to wrath is of great understanding: but he that is hasty of spirit exalteth folly.

• Slow to wrath shows control
• “A quick tempered person stockpiles stupidity” (Message translation)
• Work on lining yourself up with the Word and then teach it
• Stay on a continuous growth cycle
• Your success in a Christian Life depends on how you control your flesh and mind
• You must continue to measure your self according to the standard of Christ
• And not the standard of Man

Hebrews 5:11-12
11And thou mourn at the last, when thy flesh and thy body are consumed, 12And say, How have I hated instruction, and my heart despised reproof;
.
• Dull of hearing
• People overestimate themselves - Do a self-evaluation
• Are you obedient to God? – To your brethren? – Is your walk righteous?
• This is what causes growth
• Working on one muscle group causes deformity (big arms but small shoulders)
• You must have a desire to keep growing
• “No evaluation” equals “No control”

I Corinthians 3:1-3 (Read Amplified)
1And I, brethren, could not speak unto you as unto spiritual, but as unto carnal, even as unto babes in Christ. 2I have fed you with milk, and not with meat: for hitherto ye were not able to bear it, neither yet now are ye able. 3For ye are yet carnal: for hereas there is among you envying, and strife, and divisions, are ye not carnal, and walk as men?

• “Carnal” equals “Meathead” (all flesh)

James 3:13-16
13Who is a wise man and endued with knowledge among you? let him shew out of a good conversation his works with meekness of wisdom. 14But if ye have bitter envying and strife in your hearts, glory not, and lie not against the truth. 15This wisdom descendeth not from above, but is earthly, sensual, devilish. 16For where envying and strife is, there is confusion and every evil work.

• Verse sixteen is the result of being out of control

How you handle the lack of man’s recognition in favor of God’s - Will determine a major moment in your life. Your life is to serve people. It’s not about titles, it’s about obeying God

“Run the race to finish it” Dr. Goudeaux

“Being Prepared To Do Kingdom Work”

I Thessalonians 5:23
23And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ

• Sanctify – separate, consecrate, purify, cleanse
• It is a process aimed toward your completion
• Pastor Goudeaux should not have to call you to fast, pray, and witness
• There is greater works that come thru sanctification
• There are seasons of separation and sanctification
• God wants your participation

John 17:17
17Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth.

• The Word of God
• Download only the Word – Study and meditate
• It’s the truth that you know that sets you free

Ephesians 5:26
26That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word,

• The word cleanses you
• Not the newspaper, cable, radio, social internet media, etc.

Joel 1:14
14Sanctify ye a fast, call a solemn assembly, gather the elders and all the inhabitants of the land into the house of the LORD your God, and cry unto the LORD,

• Fast – to abstain from food, TV, sex, etc.
• Humbles you
• Causes you to rely upon God
• You become more dependent and appreciative
• Brings intervention of God
• When was the last time you fast without someone asking you to ?

G12 Life Group Notes– March 11, 2012– 6:30 a.m. Minister Carlos Gonzales (Cont’)

Joel 2:16-17, 28-29
16Gather the people, sanctify the congregation, assemble the elders, gather the children, and those that suck the breasts: let the bridegroom go forth of his chamber, and the bride out of her closet. 17Let the priests, the ministers of the LORD, weep between the porch and the altar, and let them say, Spare thy people, O LORD, and give not thine heritage to reproach, that the heathen should rule over them: wherefore should they say among the people, Where is their God? 28And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions:
29And also upon the servants and upon the handmaids in those days will I pour out my spirit.

• Intersession
• The results of intercession and fasting is
• A greater measure of the Spirit poured out
• You must allow God to minister to you before you try to minister to others
• Sanctification – Causes greater results in witnessing, G-12 ministry and marriages
• Proper sanctification brings prevention of crises
• You choose the level of Vessel of Honor you are by what you do
• God is looking for seekers and cravers
• It is not a burden, It is a lifestyle - Self-denial should be a part of the lifestyle

Hebrew 3:1
1Wherefore, holy brethren, partakers of the heavenly calling, consider the Apostle and High Priest of our profession, Christ Jesus;

• You are sanctified by the Blood of Jesus
• You are sanctified by the words of your confession
• You remind God – Devil – Yourself thru confession
• You give God license to work on your behalf thru your words

“Bold…Even more!”
““When the fish aren’t biting, change the tactic!” Dr. Goudeaux

Ephesians 3:12
12In whom we have boldness and access with confidence by the faith of him.
• Boldness is already present
• You just have to exercise it (develop it)
• The more you exercise it…the bolder you will become
• Paul became even bolder
• He saw how zealous he was for the devil
• So he became even bolder for Christ and wrote 14 books of the bible

Ephesians 6:19
19And for me, that utterance may be given unto me, that I may open my mouth boldly, to make known the mystery of the gospel,

• Paul was committed to boldness

Acts 2:4
4 And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.

• We are still writing the book of Acts
• What is the difference from then to now?
• The emphasis is removed from the Holy Spirit
• A continual backsliding of the boldness and the Holy Spirit
Here are three points that you need in your life
1. Get them saved
2. Baptized
3. Filled
• That anchors them for a more committed life
• Then get them to be a witness (cause them to be bold)

Acts 2:1
1And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place.
• GOD was bringing forth change (establish church through his son)
• Christ (salvation) left then Holy Spirit came
• Holy Spirit has a different functions

I Corinthians 12:4, 12
4Now there are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit. 12For as the body is one, and hath many members, and all the members of that one body, being many, are one body: so also is Christ.
• Diversities of gifts and the same Spirit
• Just like Pastor is Husband, Grandpa/Dad and Boss
• To limit GOD with one function is a travesty
• Underline all of “same Spirit(s)”, dividing severally as He will
• The body has more than one function but it’s the same body. By one Spirit
• By one Spirit, we’re baptized into one body

G12 Life Group Notes– March 04, 2012– 6:30 a.m. Pastor Goudeaux (Cont’)_

Acts 2:12, 14
12And they were all amazed, and were in doubt, saying one to another, What meaneth this? 14But Peter, standing up with the eleven, lifted up his voice, and said unto them, Ye men of Judaea, and all ye that dwell at Jerusalem, be this known unto you, and hearken to my words:

• Outpouring of Holy Spirit was already done
• The disciples were cowards until filled
• Peter became bold and started preaching
• Pray –That as opportunity come, you don’t miss
• Boldness with the supernatural

Acts 2:37- 41
37Now when they heard this, they were pricked in their heart, and said unto Peter and to the rest of the apostles, Men and brethren, what shall we do? 38Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. 39For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the LORD our God shall call. 40And with many other words did he testify and exhort, saying, Save yourselves from this untoward generation. 41Then they that gladly received his word were baptized: and the same day there were added unto them about three housand souls.

• Peter preached a message to these Sadducees, Pharisees and Sanhedrin council
• Peter said “repent and be baptized”
• Be aware baptism does Not come before salvation
• Verse.39 is the answer to Verse 38
• The promise is to everybody who wants it
• Verse 41: “In the same day 3,000 souls was saved “

Jews believed in GOD but didn’t know Jesus (most still don’t). For identifying of self for death, burial and resurrection. Don’t get caught up in dogmas. No heaven without accepting Christ. The Blood is the only thing that saves us. Now Peter was a preaching machine saying “Save Yourself”. Salvation is an on-going process, which is not watching, listening, and talking what I shouldn’t be. (notice this didn’t happen until somebody got bold). Holy Spirit came; they got baptized, boldness, supernatural, and then came the people

Acts 3:1, 5-10
1Now Peter and John went up together into the temple at the hour of prayer, being the ninth hour. 5And he gave heed unto them, expecting to receive something of them. 6Then Peter said, Silver and gold have I none; but such as I have give I thee: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth rise up and walk. 7And he took him by the right hand, and lifted him up: and immediately his feet and ankle bones received strength. 8And he leaping up stood, and walked, and entered with them into the temple, walking, and leaping, and praising God. 9And all the people saw him walking and praising God: 10And they knew that it was he which sat for alms at the Beautiful gate of the temple: and they were filled with wonder and amazement at that which had happened unto him.

• Laid at gate (38-40 years
• People were going into the temple and no one had boldness or was filled
• But, when boldness comes into contact with a need
• The need will be transferred into manifestations
• That’s why your enemy fears you
• Expectation was present
• Taking him by the hand was boldness
• “And immediately his feet / ankles received strength”
