G12 Life Group Notes–December 6, 2009–6:30 a.m. Pastor Goudeaux (Pg 1 of 2)
Open in Prayer Song Testimonies Prayer of Three Witnessing Closed Cell

 We must take time to win souls.
 This month (December), people are more open to receive Christ because of the Christmas season.
 Friendship Sunday, December 20, is an opportunity to reach out to friends, neighbors, and relatives.

Decision-Change-Transition-Transformation
• Most people get to the second level.
• Many make decisions to change.
• There is often no one to take them through transition to bring about transformation.
• Transition is the shedding off which brings about the total change. “Change is not change until it is change” – Ed Cole
• Change is a process.
• The Bible talks about the potter working with clay until all of the rock and imperfections are taken out.
• We are to help men/women not only to make a decision for Christ, but also help them to change through the transition process.

Romans 12:2
2And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
• God wants the total area of transformation.
• Most people in the Body of Christ don’t make it through to transformation because there is no one to help them through the transition.
• G12, the Open Cell, the Encounter, and School of Leaders are designed to help individuals through the process of transition.
• Simply attending Church each Sunday is not enough.
• The flesh doesn’t have power unless your mind gives it.
• Our thinking controls our life.
• Watch your thoughts they become words, watch your words they become actions, watch your actions they become habits, watch your habits they become character, watch your character it becomes your destiny.
• Sometimes we take it for granted that when people accept Christ into their lives, they are going to automatically live right.
• Ninety-nine percent of people need help to go through transition because they still have their old thoughts.
• It takes a strong leader to get someone through transition.

Proverb 23:7
7For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he: Eat and drink, saith he to thee; but his heart is not with thee. –
• As a man thinketh, so is he.

Isaiah 55: 7-9
7Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the LORD, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon. 8For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD. 9For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.
• God is talking to the unsaved.
• Some have never really changed because they have not gone through the transition that brings transformation.
• When people fail in transition, they think of going back to their old ways.
• We have to get people to start thinking Kingdom-minded.
• People need help.
• Everyone we know is going through some transition.
• Every one of our men/women is being trained to help other men/women.
• The biggest threat to the kingdom of darkness is when men/women begin to help other men/women.
• Ways and thoughts are two different things. All of our ways do not please God. We need to line up our thoughts with God’s thoughts.
• God is going to have mercy on the one’s that are going through transition, not the one standing still.
• If you are stuck in transition, you will start building idols.
• Idols can be anything, for example, money, house, car, clothes, drugs, etc.
• People will do what they really want to do.
• You can be around a strong leader, but you must take hold and believe the things of God for yourself.
• God wants our thoughts to be like His thoughts and that comes through transition.
• It takes time to go through the transition process and it cannot be rushed.

2 Timothy 2:19-21
19Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are his. And, let every one that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity. 20But in a great house there are not only vessels of gold and of silver, but also of wood and of earth; and some to honour, and some to dishonour. 21If a man therefore purge himself from these, he shall be a vessel unto honour, sanctified, and meet for the master's use, and prepared unto every good work.
• Most men run from transition and submitting to a mentor or one in authority.
• Most people don’t want to work in ministry because they have not gone through the transition.
• Transition is the big issue.
• Our goal is not to be self-made men/women, but God-made men/women.
• “Don’t look at what people have, but what they need” – Pastor Phillip Goudeaux
• We need to strive to bring honor to God.
• We must continually work on ourselves.
