Conforming In His Image Through Truth

James 1:21
21 Where fore lay apart all filthiness and superfluity of naughtiness, and receive with meekness the engrafted word, which is able to save your souls.


• Salvation is different than being saved
• Being saved is immediate but salvation is a process


Colossians 3:1-10
1 If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God. 2 set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth. 3For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God. 4 When Christ, who is our life shall appear, then shall ye also appear with him in glory. 5 Mortify therefore your members which are upon the earth; fornication, uncleanness, inordinate affection, evil concupiscence, and covetousness, which is idolatry. 6 For which things’ sake the wrath of God cometh on the children of disobedience. 7 In the which ye also walked some time, when ye lived in them. 8 But now ye also put off all these; anger, wrath, malice, blasphemy, filthy communication out of your mouth. 9 Lie not one to another, seeing that ye have put off the old man with his deeds. 10 And have put on the new man which is renewed in knowledge after the image of him that created him

• The saving of your soul is a process
• After salvation you have the responsibility for saving your soul
• Every time you have a life group meeting you’re helping to save the souls of the people in your group
• Helping to get them anchored in the Lord and in the Word
• You can get them delivered but it takes diligence on their part to stay delivered
• Staying delivered is staying away from what had them bound
• God is still a God of wrath and you can play out the grace that’s on your life
• God’s wrath is him taking his hand off your life
• You must take responsibility for yourself and repent
• Verse 10 , you must be renewed in knowledge
• The Greek word for knowledge is “epignosis” which means higher knowledge
• That higher knowledge is Truth


3 John 1-4,8

• What activates the blessing of verse 2 is you walking in the truth

31 Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him. If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed; 32 And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.

• “Word” in these verses means truth
• The more of the truth you get in you, the more it’s making you free
• You must stay in truth and not just hear it because truth is transforming



2 Peter 1:12
12 Wherefore I will not be negligent to put you always in remembrance of these things, though ye know them, and be established in the present truth


• You should never be intimidated to tell the truth because people may know the truth but might not be in the truth
• Just because they’ve heard the truth doesn’t mean they know it or that it’s anchored in them


Ephesians 1:13
13 In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that Holy Spirit of promise.

• The word of truth generates faith which moves you to action.

Our Job is to Bring Every Man/Woman Into the Image of God



Ephesians 4: 17 – 20
17 This I say therefore, and testify in the Lord, that ye henceforth walk not as other Gentiles walk, in the vanity of their mind. 18 Having the understanding darkened, being alienated from the life of God through the ignorance that is in them, because of the blindness of their heart: 19 Who being past feeling have given themselves over unto lasciviousness, to work all uncleanness with greediness. 20 But ye have not so learned Christ:

• Your walk is your conduct or behavior
• Your soul can be saved, but your body will never be saved
• Your understanding is in your mind
• You must come into maturity through the renewing of your mind (Reading and studying the Word)
• If you received all that Jesus has for you - You would not live a lowly life



1 John 1: 8
8 If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us..

• The job of truth is to make you free


2 John 1 – 8
1The elder unto the elect lady and her children, whom I love in the truth: and not I only, but also all they that have known the truths. 2 For the truth’s sake, which dwelleth in us, and shall be with us for ever. 3 Grace be with you, mercy, and peace, from God the Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of the Father, in truth and love. 4 I rejoiced greatly that I found of thy children walking in truth, as we have received a commandment from the Father. 5 And now I beseech thee, lady, not as though I wrote a new commandment unto thee, but that which we had from the beginning, that we love one another. 6 And this is love, that we walk after his commandments. • When you are walking in truth, you are holding up a standard
• Truth brings you up - Sin brings you down
• You must want to stand and fight for truth
• The higher the standard you can achieve, the more God can trust you
• Truth demands change
• Compromise is easier when you fail to grasp the truth

The Purpose of G-12 – To aggressively Go After Men and Women


Genesis 1:26, 27
26 And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth. 27So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.

• You need to assist others in their walk
• God’s image was distorted by the fall of Adam
• Sin always distorts something good in your life
• Jesus was sent to restore man back into the image and likeness of God
• You have a responsibility to develop yourself and others
• This is where the fight comes in
• Men and women are dealing with:
Low self-esteem Anger
Unforgiving spirits Lust
Rebellion Selfishness
Stubbornness
• If one of the above areas is operating in you
• It holds God back from doing what he wants to do in your life
• If you don’t address these areas, you will only do things that’s convenient for you



Romans 8:29, 30
29For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren. 30Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified.

• Once you are conformed, you then can conform others
• God’s plan is for you to take responsibility and touch others
• You need to focus on 144
• You must have Life Groups (open) and G-12 Life Groups (closed)
• You must take time with men and women
• God has a predestinated plan for your life
• Life Groups – you must get men and women through Pathway classes, encounters, and the Vision process
• God’s predestination is for everyone to be conformed into the image of Christ
• Those whom He calls are justified and then glorified
• The glory was lost in the fall of man
• The enemy does not want you to have the glory back in your life


• Receiving the glory back is a process
• It does not happen overnight – It is a process
• Process conforms you into the image of Christ

In Genesis chapter three:
• God asked where Adam was
• He is asking the same thing today – Where are you?
• The enemy works to break your focus
• You are either conformed or in the process of being conformed
• You should not be “just maintaining”
• You should be provoking and changing the lives of men and women
• As you minister, God is ministering to you
• You need to be witnessing and praying for men and women
• You are here to be transformed into the image of Christ

John 15:1, 4-8
1I am the true vine, and my Father is the husbandman. 4Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except, it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye bide in me 5I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without, me ye can do nothing. 6If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, an it shall be done unto you.

• Abide means to take up residence
• Our job is to bear fruit
• Which means to bring men and women into the image of Christ
• If you would just take the responsibility of mentoring and bring others into the image of Christ
• How many marriages could be saved, children saved; and man living longer?
• Some people ask why things are not happening – Because it has not materialized
• God’s goal is to bring men and women back into His image
• When you bring men and women into the image of Christ you are abiding

Genesis 1:28
28And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.

• God blessed the ones who were conformed
• Multiplication is in other men and women, bringing them into the image of Christ
• That is when you are subduing the earth
• It is a shame if you are not being conforming or conforming others

Aggressiveness For God


When we pray, we need to pray an engaging prayer. Passive prayers are not as
effective as engaging prayers or praying against spirits that are coming against you



Isaiah 61:1
1 The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me; because the Lord hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound;

• We need to be aggressive about the things of God
• When you see that a person does not respond to common sense, you are dealing with a stronghold
• Strongholds will fight to defend themselves
• Strongholds have to be fought
• Quit talking and start engaging



Luke 4:14,18
14And Jesus returned in the power of the Spirit into Galilee: and there went out a fame of him through all the region round about. 18The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised,

• We need to confess that we are returning in the power of the Spirit
• Every believer is called to be aggressive
• Being aggressive is being positive



Matthew 10:1, 7, 8
1And when he had called unto him his twelve disciples, he gave them power against unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to heal all manner of sickness and all manner of disease. 7And as ye go, preach, saying, The kingdom of heaven is at hand. 8Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils: freely ye have received, freely give.

• Another word for power is authority
• Jesus gave the disciples aggressive power
• We need to show God’s goodness
• People need to see God in us



Matthew 11:11, 12
11Verily I say unto you, Among them that are born of women there hath not risen a greater than John the Baptist: notwithstanding he that is least in the kingdom of heaven is greater than he. 12And from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffereth violence, and the violent take it by force.

• We can do greater things than John the Baptist because we have received the finished work of Jesus Christ
• Violent people attack the spirit of darkness
• The enemy attacks you to try to neutralize you
• Violence is divine strength imparted by the Holy Spirit to get things accomplished in the supernatural that could never be done in the natural
• A strong prayer life and going out of your way demonstrate violence
• You need to show action – for example, lay hands on people
• Preach then demonstrate




Luke 10:1, 9, 17
1After these things the Lord appointed other seventy also and sent them two and two before his face into every city and place, whither he himself would come. 9And heal the sick that are therein, and say unto them, The kingdom of God is come nigh unto you. 17And the seventy returned again with joy, saying, Lord, even the devils are subject unto us through thy name.


• There were twelve disciples; Now there is an additional seventy that Jesus aggressively with after
• We should tell people the reason we believe in the healing power of Jesus Christ
• The disciples saw the fruit of their aggressiveness
• They had never seen anything like that before
• Jesus could not do it all
• He empowered the disciples to set people free

Being Aggressive in Your Outreach



When We are Reaching Out to Men and Women, We Need to Bathe it in prayer


Isaiah 61:1,2
1 The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me; because the Lord hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound; 2To proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all that mourn;

• Jesus is announcing that God’s Spirit is upon him
• Anointing: Burden moving, yoke destroying power of God
• Aggressive words: preach; proclaim; bind
• Jesus came with an aggressive attitude
• Most people are not aggressive
• 98% of Christians are not aggressive
• Passiveness is our old nature
• Spirits are out there fighting us to be passive


The Greatest Fear of Satan is Relationships

• It is called the principle of two
• God puts two together to release power
• We need to be God pleasers, not people pleasers
• We need to step up our aggressiveness in ministering to others
• We need to step up our prayer life
• We need to make a difference everyday
• We are either passive or aggressive

• Jesus’ aggressive attitude has touched billions




Matthew 10:1-4

• The disciples needed aggressiveness
• Jesus gave the disciples power to be aggressive



Matthew 10:7
7And as ye go, preach, saying, The kingdom of heaven is at hand.


• We have to believe that our foot steps are ordered by God
• God did not call for us to be passive




Matthew 10:27
27What I tell you in darkness, that speak ye in light: and what ye hear in the ear, that preach ye upon the housetops.


• Let everybody know about God
• Ask God to give you a platform to Minister the Gospel
• We must pray for aggressiveness
• We are either going forward or backward

KEYS TO MOVING YOURSELF AND YOUR TEAM TO THE NEXT LEVEL

Matthew 12:35 A good man out of the good treasure of the heart bringeth forth good things: and an evil man out of the evil treasure bringeth forth evil things.

 A person with a good heart will be a blessing.
 We can do more with a team than we can do without a team.
 To have outward growth you must have inward growth first.
 It is rare to grow outwardly and inwardly at the same time, you are usually doing the one or the other.

Proverbs 22:6— Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.
 Training is critical—it gives information and knowledge.
 Training shows the “how to’s.”
 Teaching and Training is critical for your teams.
 It is impossible to “WOW” the visitors when the teams are not on the same page.


SIX KEYS TO ASSIST WITH TEACHING AND TRAINING YOUR TEAMS

“Excellence is not a mistake, but it is a deliberate act. It is not a destination but a journey.” Pastor Goudeaux

1. A Leader Must be Able to Impart the Vision!
 Here at CCC we must know the 16 points of the man of Gods vision (Pastor Goudeaux).
 What is your department’s mission statement?
 What is the vision for their department?
 How does your vision and mission tie into the bigger vision?
 When people take “ownership” they take more pride, more effort, and embrace it.
 In order to take ownership a leader must have the ability to present a compelling vision to his/her team. Why are we here? Why are we doing what we are doing? People must see the importance of the part that they play. Then you must write the vision and make it plain.

Habakkuk 2:2-3 2And the LORD answered me, and said, Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it. 3For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry.

2. Discipline—A Leader Must Have Self Control
 We are a diverse ministry, so we must understand that there are different cultures and be able to restrain ourselves when necessary.
 There must be self control in many areas: spirit, soul, body, family, finances, and time.
 Spirit: Proverbs 25:28 28He that hath no rule over his own spirit is like a city that is broken down, and without walls. Message: 28 A person without self-control is like a house with its doors and windows knocked out.

 For instance when the visionary calls a fast: The leader who is disciplined would have immediately had their whole team fast. Most people are undisciplined in many areas—prayer life, eating habits, etc.

3. A Leader Must Have the Ability to Attract People
 If you can’t attract people it becomes a challenge.
 You must be able to win people to your vision/department/ministry.

4. A Team Leader Must Have the Ability to Motivate People
 Pastor should not be the only one promoting your department, you should. Pastor should not even have to be there.

5. A Team Leader Must Have the Ability to Fight Negativity
 There will be negativity against you and against your team.
 How you handle negativity will be key.
 There will be strife, assault, division, gossip—how you handle it will determine the type of team leader you will be.

Psalms 1:1-3 1Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful. 2But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night. 3And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.

6. A Team Leader Must be Willing to Change and Grow
 We must be constantly changing in order to grow.
 The moment you don’t want to change you stop growing.
 You must stay green and growing.

It’s All About The Heart

Proverbs Chapter 16
1 The preparations of the heart in man, and the answer of the tongue, is from the Lord. 5 Every one that is proud in heart is an abomination to the Lord; though hand join in hand, he shall not be unpunished. 21 The wise in heart shall be called prudent; and the sweetness of the lips increaseth learning. 23 The heart of the wise teacheth his mouth, and addeth learning to his lips.

• Inward growth comes from commitment
• If your life is out of balance, your equilibrium will cause failure and you will fail under the barrage of warfare
• When the winds blow, you will go
• The depth of your walk with God is the depth of the word that is inside of you
• You never know what battle is coming your way
• Bend and pop back up like a palm tree

Proverbs 16:9
9 A man’s heart deviseth his way: but the Lord directeth his steps.

• If you don’t like the way things are going then change your heart
• You are where your heart is


Jeremiah 17:5, 9
5Thus saith the Lord; Cursed be the man that trusted in man, and maketh flesh his arm, and whose heart departeth from the Lord. 9 The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked who can know it?

• A bad heart is self seeking
• A heart that is not renewed is wicked


Matthew 12:34, 35
34O generation of vipers, how can ye, being evil, speak good things? For out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh. 35A good man out of the good treasure of the heart bringeth forth good things; and an evil man out of the evil treasure bringeth forth evil things.

• Your heart displays the attitude that is inside of you
• When the depth of a man’s wicket heart is feed, it will bring a demise
• Great success comes from the inward growth

Deuteronomy 5:29
29O that there were such an heart in them, that they would fear me, and keep all my commandments always, that it might be well with them, and with their children for ever!

The Heart of the Matter


Matthew 12:35
35 A good man out of the good treasure of the heart bringeth forth good things: and an evil man out of the evil treasure bringeth forth evil things.

• Everything we deal with is an issue with the “heart”
• In order to have outside growth
• You need to have inside growth first
• Inward growth is not something that happens overnight
• There must be a change in your mindset
• If you want it on the outside
• You have to put it on the inside


Romans 12:2
2And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

• That’s why we focus on the renewing of the mind


Proverbs 16:9
9A man’s heart deviseth his way: but the Lord directed his steps.

• The heart is a key factor when dealing with either spirit or soul
• A man’s heart determines a man’s way
• We need to help others with heart transplants.


Jeremiah 17:5, 9-10
5Thus saith the Lord; Cursed be the man that trusted in man, and maketh flesh his arm, and whose heart departeth from the Lord. 9 The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked who can know it? 10 I the Lord search the heart, I try the reins, even to give every man according to his ways, and according to the fruit of his doings.

Your Success is in Your Preparation

“What we do in our lives does affect what we do in someone else’s life”

Proverbs 30:25
25 The ants are a people not strong, yet they prepare their meat in the summer;

• Summer is a season for preparation
• As you prepare for 2012, God will add to you in 2011
• Summer is a time to dream –Prepare, get ready for God, and get refreshed
• The work is already inside of you
• So what are you doing in your personal time to prepare
• Key points:
1. Preparation determines the outcome of being a success or failure
2. Failure to prepare is a disaster to goals, dreams, and your finances
3. How you prepare will determine good time management / bad
time management

Matthew 6:33 (The promise scripture)
33But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

• “Seek” – in order to find out by thinking, meditating, and inquiring
• The more you prepare, the quicker you go from level to level
• All the Word we receive is preparation
• Sometimes we just need to shut-up and listen to God
• “Seek Him first”: first is whatever influences you or what you respect the most
• “Seek the Kingdom”: royal power of Jesus, right authority, government and organization
• “Seeking God”: pulling on the ministry of Jesus Christ
• The more you pull, the more you prepare, the more you’ll benefit
• Preparation takes work and discipline – The lack of it opens the door to sabotage
• Whenever you are in warfare, go back to your preparation
• The more you prepare – The more you win
• Ask yourself, ‘What do I need to do to prepare for 2012”?
• It’s easier when you prepare – There’s no anointing when you don’t prepare
• You prepare with God – You only move from position to position when prepared
• Go after what’s in God’s heart and you’ll get what’s in His hand


Exodus 3:1
1Now Moses kept the flock of Jethro his father in law, the priest of Midian: and he led the flock to the backside of the desert, and came to the mountain of God, even to Horeb.

• Moses came from royalty (prince of Egypt) down to a shepherd boy
• The real you will come out when you’re down and out
• The desert experience will prepare you for greatness in your life
• God’s preparation brings growth, grace, and greatness

Exodus 3:2
2And the angel of the Lord appeared unto him in a flame of fire out of the midst of a bush: and he looked, and, behold, the bush burned with fire, and the bush was not consumed.

• The burning bush was a sign of deliverance.
• God used the weak to bring the word (preparation)
• God promised Abraham through a lamp that He would take care of his seed

Exodus 3:5
5And he said, Draw not nigh hither; put off thy shoes from off thy feet, for the place whereon thou standest is holy ground.

• God is always getting us to take something off
• Sometimes when you don’t think you’re prepared, you really are
• Your preparation determines your success
• We must get rid of wrong influences
• Most individuals know how to survive but not thrive – Preparation makes you thrive

Job 11:12-15

• Every time you pass a test of integrity – You move to a new level with God and to a new level of His anointing in your life
• The level of your anointing is tied in with your integrity
• The greater the anointing that you have – The more power you have to remove burdens and destroy yokes
• The anointing of boldness


The principle of walking in love

John 13:34, 35

34A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another. 35By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.



Integrity and walking in love is a mandate from God


I John 4:7-21

7Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God. 8He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love. 9In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent His only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through Him. 10Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us, and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins. 11Beloved, if God so loved us, we ought also to love one another. 12No man hath seen God at any time. • When you move pass the test of offense – That is the true test of love

The ability to control one’s emotions, behavior, and desires in order to obtain some reward later, and is the capacity of efficient management to the future.

Discipline
Training expected to produce a specific character or pattern of behavior, especially training that produces moral or mental improvement.


I Corinthians 9:23-27

23And this I do for the gospel’s sake, that I might be partaker thereof with you. 24Know ye not that they which run in a race run all, but one receiveth the prize? So run, that ye may obtain. 25And every man that striveth for the mastery is temperate in all things. Now they do it to obtain a corruptible crown; but we an incorruptible. 26 I therefore so run, not as uncertainly; so fight I, not as one that beateth the air: 27 But I keep under my body, and bring it into subjection: lest that by any means, when I have preached to others, I myself should be a castaway.

• You must bender self control all the time
• Discipline is mandatory
• Remind your body about discipline
• Self control is a major part of your integrity
• The lack of integrity will result in your downfall as a leader, father, and a provider

Job 31:1-6

• Integrity does not change under pressure
• It will uphold you in the toughest of times
• Integrity takes a stand and it has a standard
• It cannot be shifted from excellence

• Loyalty – Dedication – Covenant: Where have these things gone?

• At some point in your life – You have to stand your ground

• You can not let everybody persuade you to go the opposite direction

• The number one tactic the devil is using today against Christians is: discouragement

• The devil is doing everything he can to discourage those who have put their faith and confidence in God

• He wants to knock you out the park – Because he does not want your life to bring glory and honor to God

• If you will just stand on the word and keep doing what God wants you to do

• God will show up on your behalf and people will see the Glory of God on your life

• The enemy knows that God requires your faith – That is why he tries to break your focus

• Discouragement: To be drained of courage – Wanting to give up because it’s hard

• The enemy wants to rob you of courage

• He wants you to give up the fight – He wants you to operate in sense-knowledge - Not faith

• This life is about fighting – It’s about standing for what you know is right – Not giving in

• When you’re in a battle, there are two truths that you need to know:

1. Your battle is always for a reason (there is something you need to learn)
2. Your battle is always for a season (it’s not going to be forever, it comes to an end)

• Find out what the reason is

• As soon as you get a victory – The devil will still come after you



• The devil is a pursuer

• Why would you start crying when God has just brought you out – Gave you a victory?

• You have to stay in faith and talk the language of faith

• Speak the word – Because the word gives God legal rights to get involved in your situation

• Stop crying and start celebrating – Because now you will get to see another victory

• The devil is not smart because he keeps coming back – But he keeps getting defeated

• Ten things you need to know when you are dealing with the Spirit of Discouragement:

1. Think on what God has already done in your life (Exodus 13:3)
2. See God bigger than your problem
3. You have to have faith in what God says (Numbers 23:19)
4. Say what God says about your problem
5. Fellowship with encouragers – Not discouragers

• How many scriptures can you quote?
• How much word have you memorized?

• Memorize at least a scripture a day
• Pray for your brother to walk in integrity daily and not give up

• It’s not your entrance –It’s your exit that determines your legacy
• Many can not grasp the true integrity of the Man of God
• Because of their perception of the Man of God
• Integrity begins at home
• Integrity must be above reproach

I Timothy 3:1-3
1This is a true saying, If a man desire the office of a bishop, he desireth a good work. 2A bishop then must be blameless, the husband of one wife, vigilant, sober, or good behavior, given to hospitality, apt to teach; 3Not given to wine, no striker, not greedy of filthy lucre; but patient, not a brawler, not covetous.

• When we leave this life, we have two options
• You can be known as great or not great
• Sober minded is not letting fears overtake you
• You must be focused

I Peter 5:7-9
7Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you. 8Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour. 9Whom resist stedfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world.

• When you walk in integrity, it is threatening to those who don’t
• You should not be bound by additions, violet, nor greedy for gain or power
• When you have the proper balance, gain and power will follow after you
• Most people are drivers, so we must be careful not to have greed

• GOD wants us to be connected, just like Adam was.

Read in NKJV Genesis 4:7 Sin! “And its desire is for you.”

1) Integrity allows GOD’s perfect will to be manifested in your life.
2) Integrity is the way to GOD’s best.
3) Integrity is a decision, choose to walk in Integrity, everyday!

Job 2:1-10 Verse 3- hold fast to integrity.

Holdfast defined- embrace tightly, hold it down, take control, dominate, sit on it so it doesn’t slip away, do everything you can. Verse 9- Still hold fast. Verse 10-Job did Not sin. You have to fight for commitment. God blessed Job “double.”

Genesis 22:1-14 Verse 14- Jehovah Jireh.

 We’re not waiting on GOD, GOD is waiting on us!
 Everyday we need to know GOD is a GOD of Integrity.
 Settle it in your heart.
 Have faith, confidence, integrity & trust in GOD.

• God’s word is the standard by which integrity is judged


Genesis 20:1- 6

 Everybody needs standards. If you do not have standards then there is nothing to measure yourself against or by.

INTEGRITY

I Kings 13:7-10
7And the king said unto the man of God, Come home with me, and refresh thyself, and I will give thee a reward. 8And the man of God said unto the king, If thou wilt give me half thine house, I will not go in with thee, neither will I eat bread nor drink water in this place: 9For so was it charged me by the word of the LORD, saying, Eat no bread, nor drink water, nor turn again by the same way that thou camest. 10So he went another way, and returned not by the way that he came to Bethel.

• Integrity demands you to stay true to the command.
• It will not always look like the way to go, but it pays off in the long run.
• The key to experiencing the kind of success that is worth having, forces you to question and analyze your situations before making a decision.
• Integrity is the process of discerning right from wrong, then doing what you know to be right.
• People do not always act on what they know to do that is right, but integrity pushes you in that direction.
• Integrity guides you to know what the truth is by compelling you to act on what is right.
• What distinguishes a person of integrity is that they routinely act on what they know to be right.
• Integrity is not some one time deal, it is a lifelong process. Something that you do all the time.

Ethics, Character, and Integrity
• Character refers to moral strength, self discipline, fortitude or good reputation. It is what enables you to act on what your integrity guides you to believe is right.
• Ethics is a system of moral standards or values that is a foundation for your actions or simply what you govern yourself by.
• It is not until you combine morals and character with your ethics is when you become a person of integrity. A person who is guided to do what is right.
• If you have morals, ethics, and character you can say that you choose to do so. Made a commitment to do what is right with the three combined.

• Our men/women have to have a good baptism in integrity.
• People are looking for those who will maintain a high standard.
• We need to keep raising the bar.
• We must watch our mouths and not participate in any derogatory actions.
• We need to intercede, David “waited” with high expectations.

• Temptation will come, but we must trust in God.

Genesis 39:1-15
1And Joseph was brought down to Egypt; and Potiphar, an officer of Pharaoh, captain of the guard, an Egyptian, bought him of the hands of the Ishmeelites, which had brought him down thither. 2And the LORD was with Joseph, and he was a prosperous man; and he was in the house of his master the Egyptian. 3And his master saw that the LORD was with him, and that the LORD made all that he did to prosper in his hand. 4And Joseph found grace in his sight, and he served him: and he made him overseer over his house, and all that he had he put into his hand. 5And it came to pass from the time that he had made him overseer in his house, and over all that he had, that the LORD blessed the Egyptian's house for Joseph's sake; and the blessing of the LORD was upon all that he had in the house, and in the field. 6And he left all that he had in Joseph's hand; and he knew not ought he had, save the bread which he did eat. And Joseph was a goodly person, and well favoured. 7And it came to pass after these things, that his master's wife cast her eyes upon Joseph; and she said, Lie with me.
8But he refused, and said unto his master's wife, Behold, my master wotteth not what is with me in the house, and he hath committed all that he hath to my hand; 9There is none greater in this house than I; neither hath he kept back anything from me but thee, because thou art his wife: how then can I do this great wickedness, and sin against God? 10And it came to pass, as she spake to Joseph day by day that he hearkened not unto her, to lie by her, or to be with her. 11And it came to pass about this time, that Joseph went into the house to do his business; and there was none of the men of the house there within. 12And she caught him by his garment, saying, Lie with me: and he left his garment in her hand, and fled, and got him out. 13And it came to pass, when she saw that he had left his garment in her hand, and was fled forth, 14That she called unto the men of her house, and spake unto them, saying, See, he hath brought in an Hebrew unto us to mock us; he came in unto me to lie with me, and I cried with a loud voice: 15And it came to pass, when he heard that I lifted up my voice and cried, that he left his garment with me, and fled, and got him out.

• When you walk in integrity people will see how God has blessed you.
• Joseph’s integrity kept him from sinning.
• Potiphar’s wife was after Joseph; however, Joseph honored his master and God by not yielding to temptation.
• Integrity will be tested.
• Once you pass one integrity test another test will come.
• Passing the integrity test will promote you to the next level.

Psalms 25:20-22
20O keep my soul, and deliver me: let me not be ashamed; for I put my trust in thee. 21Let integrity and uprightness preserve me; for I wait on thee. 22Redeem Israel, O God, out of all his troubles.

• Integrity, honesty, morals, principles, being ever true are all characteristics that we must maintain.
• Integrity has a standard. It must be allowed to have preeminence in our lives.
• People tend to compromise their standards. Whatever you compromise today, you will lose tomorrow.

Psalms 26

• Our men/women have to have a good baptism in integrity.
• People are looking for those who will maintain a high standard.
• We need to keep raising the bar.
• We must watch our mouths and not participate in any derogatory actions.
• We need to intercede, David “waited” with high expectations.

James 3:16-18
16For where you have envy and selfish ambition, there you find disorder and every evil practice. 17But the wisdom that comes from heaven is first of all pure; then peace-loving, considerate, submissive, full of mercy and good fruit, impartial and sincere. 18 Peacemakers who sow in peace raise a harvest of righteousness.

• The enemy is working on trying to get us in strife or thinking wrong thoughts.

Galatians 5:16 – 26
16This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh.
• We must control our heart and our thought life.
• Anything contrary to the will of God will gather strength unless we take control of our thoughts.
• We must always ask ourselves, “is this thought from God.”
• We must not believe anything the devil says about someone.
• We must not be lazy when it comes to controlling our thoughts.
• 3 ways we can sin: words, actions, and thoughts.

2 Corinthians 10: 3 -6
3For though we live in the world, we do not wage war as the world does.

• We have to deal with our thoughts, minute by minute, hour by hour.

Philippians 4: 8, 9

8Finally , brothers, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure,
whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable – if anything is excellent or praiseworthy- think about such things
9Whatever you have learned or received or heard from me, or seen in me-put it into practice. And the God
of peace will be with you.

• Don’t hold on to junk.
• If anyone says something negative about you, listen and evaluate, but don’t get into offense.

Ephesians 4: 29 – 32
29Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that
It may minister grace unto the hearers.
• We are not called to tear down anything.
• Contrary to what God says is evil thinking.
• Evil thoughts coming out of our mouth undermines our Team.

Ephesians 4:16
16From him the whole body, joined and held together by every supporting ligament, grows and builds itself
up in love, as each part does its work.

• Every one of us has a position. We are part of a Team.
• Personalities are different; therefore we must deal with it in Love.
• We must control our minds.
