 Everybody needs standards. If you do not have standards then there is nothing to measure yourself against or by.

INTEGRITY

I Kings 13:7-10
7And the king said unto the man of God, Come home with me, and refresh thyself, and I will give thee a reward. 8And the man of God said unto the king, If thou wilt give me half thine house, I will not go in with thee, neither will I eat bread nor drink water in this place: 9For so was it charged me by the word of the LORD, saying, Eat no bread, nor drink water, nor turn again by the same way that thou camest. 10So he went another way, and returned not by the way that he came to Bethel.

• Integrity demands you to stay true to the command.
• It will not always look like the way to go, but it pays off in the long run.
• The key to experiencing the kind of success that is worth having, forces you to question and analyze your situations before making a decision.
• Integrity is the process of discerning right from wrong, then doing what you know to be right.
• People do not always act on what they know to do that is right, but integrity pushes you in that direction.
• Integrity guides you to know what the truth is by compelling you to act on what is right.
• What distinguishes a person of integrity is that they routinely act on what they know to be right.
• Integrity is not some one time deal, it is a lifelong process. Something that you do all the time.

Ethics, Character, and Integrity
• Character refers to moral strength, self discipline, fortitude or good reputation. It is what enables you to act on what your integrity guides you to believe is right.
• Ethics is a system of moral standards or values that is a foundation for your actions or simply what you govern yourself by.
• It is not until you combine morals and character with your ethics is when you become a person of integrity. A person who is guided to do what is right.
• If you have morals, ethics, and character you can say that you choose to do so. Made a commitment to do what is right with the three combined.
